Inspection Booking Terms
Booking requests submitted through our website, email, or phone are considered inquiries until confirmed in writing by SaskShield. A booking is only confirmed once we have provided written confirmation of the date, time, and scope of the inspection.
- Clients must provide accurate property details, access arrangements, and contact information.
- The inspector must be granted safe and reasonable access to all relevant areas of the property at the scheduled time.
- If access is restricted or unsafe, certain components may be excluded from the inspection and noted in the report.
Payment Terms
Payment is due in full upon completion of the inspection unless otherwise agreed in writing. Inspection reports may be withheld until payment has been received.
Accepted payment methods will be communicated at the time of booking. All fees are quoted in Canadian dollars (CAD) and exclude applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.
Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy
We understand that plans can change. To allow us to serve all clients fairly:
- Cancellations or rescheduling requests should be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled inspection.
- Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a cancellation fee to cover scheduling and travel time.
- SaskShield reserves the right to reschedule an inspection due to severe weather, unsafe conditions, or other circumstances beyond our control.
Limitation of Liability
SaskShield’s inspection services are limited to a non-invasive, visual examination of readily accessible components of the property at the time of inspection. Our reports are not guarantees or warranties of any kind, express or implied, regarding the condition, quality, or future performance of the property or its systems.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SaskShield’s total liability arising out of or relating to an inspection or report shall not exceed the fee paid for that inspection. SaskShield is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including loss of property value, loss of use, or loss of profit.
Clients are encouraged to retain qualified, licensed specialists (such as electricians, plumbers, structural engineers, or HVAC technicians) for further evaluation of any items noted in the report.
Accuracy of Information
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that information on this website and in our reports is accurate and up to date. However, we do not warrant that all content is complete, current, or free from error. Information is provided on an “as is” basis.
Inspection findings reflect the condition of the property as observed at the time of inspection only. Conditions may change afterward, and hidden or concealed defects may exist that are not discoverable through a visual inspection.
